This roaster comprises a cooking plate 5 on which cooked foods are placed, a heating means 6 for heating the cooked foods on the cooking plate 5, a ventilation passage 26 ranging from an air collecting port 8 in the upper side of the cooking plate 5 to an exhaust port 25 in the lower side, a fan 24 for distributing air along the ventilation passage 26 and a water splash generating means 9 for supplying water splashes into the ventilation passage 26. Air is passed through the water splashes generated by the water splash generating means 9 for removing smoke and odor in the air.
