Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a storage capacity for plural connected segments which are so connected as to be capable of bending.SOLUTION: A robot arm mechanism has a rotary joint part, and a direct-acting expansion joint part J3. The direct-acting expansion joint part has plural first connected segments 23 which are so connected to one another as to be capable of bending and have a cross section of a square shape, and plural second connected segments 22 which are so connected as to be capable of bending and have a cross section of a flat plate shape. The first connected segment is joined with the second connected segment at an upper part thereof, whereby bending of the first connected segment is restricted and a columnar body 2 is formed. The columnar body 2 is released by separation of the first segment and the second segment from each other. An injection part 32 so joins the first connected segment with the second connected segment as to form the columnar body, and supports the columnar body. Upper parts and lower parts of the plural first connected segments are so alternately connected to one another as to be capable of bending, and top faces and undersides thereof are respectively and alternately overlapped with one another and are stored in a stem 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
