To achieve a variety of operation of an instrument, in accordance with a quasi-growth degree of the instrument.SOLUTION: An instrument control device 100 comprises a processing unit 110 that sets growth-degree data representing quasi-growth degrees of an instrument, obtains characteristics data representing quasi-characteristics of the instrument, obtains the other data except for the characteristics data concerning the instrument, selectively sets, as operation modes of the instrument, a first operation mode according to the characteristics data and a second operation mode according to the other data, in accordance with the set growth-degree data, and controls operation of the instrument, in accordance with the set operation modes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
