Abstract:
To provide a robot that can move with a specific person and can safely guide the person upon detecting a dangerous article, and a control method for the robot and a program.SOLUTION: Processing by a robot includes: detecting a position and a moving direction of a user and an object around the user via a sensor; identifying a type and a position of the detected object; if the object is dangerous and is positioned in the moving direction of the user, determining a relative position where the robot has to be positioned relative to the user as a leading position in front of the user and in a direction different from the moving direction; driving at least a pair of legs or wheels of the robot to move the robot to the leading position; and guiding a change to the moving direction of the user by making the robot escort the user at the leading position by driving at least one pair of legs or wheels.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 31
