When generating distance image in which distance information from an imaging means to the object to be imaged is stored in each picture element based on each image obtained by a plurality of imaging means, a picture element position of the object to be imaged positioned in the vicinity of the imaging means among distance images is detected, and the detected picture element position is recorded in the distance image to detect the picture element position easily and use it in processing at a later stage so that the robot device can operate by following movement of the object to be imaged on real time to improve the entertainment property.
