Abstract:

To favorably hold and carry a large-scale and weighty object co-operatively using both arms.

The pitch axes of the respective tip pitch axis joints of both arms are substantially on one straight line, the center of gravity of an object to be held is set on the straight line, and both arms are gradually decreased in width of the object to be held, thereby holding the object with the hand parts sandwiching it. With the joints of the other joints of the arm parts still fixed, only the tip pitch axes are driven so that the object changes its attitude as if it has a rotating shaft. Thus, the attitude of the held object is varied without controlling the attitudes of the other 6 axes of the arm parts.
