Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot that can inform a user of the inside state of charge, when not being placed on a charging base.SOLUTION: A robot 1 comprises: a spherical housing 101; a frame 102 disposed inside the housing 101; a display portion 205 that is mounted on the frame 102, and which displays at least one part of a face; a pair of drive wheels 206 that are mounted on the frame 102, and which rotate the housing 101, while being in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the housing 101; a weight drive mechanism 208 that is mounted on the frame 102, and which reciprocates a weight 114 in a predetermined direction; a power supply 210 that is charged by an outside charger 2, and which supplies electric power to the pair of drive wheels 206 and the weight drive mechanism 208; and a control circuit which stops rotation of the pair of drive wheels 206, and reciprocates the weight 114 in the predetermined direction, to reciprocate the display portion 205 in a superior-inferior direction, when power reserve of the power supply 210, not being charged by the charger 2, is equal to or under a predetermined value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
