Abstract:
To reduce a surface pressure with a rocker shaft, to improve abrasion reliability and to secure lubricity by forming a partially recessed cylindrical surface on a bottom wall of a rocker arm accurately in a short working time and supporting the rocker shaft at three points of winding parts of two sidewalls and the partially recessed cylindrical surface.SOLUTION: A rocker arm 1 comprises two sidewalls 3 and a bottom wall 4 connecting lower parts of the two sidewalls 3, and winding parts 6 through which a rocker shaft 21 is passed are formed on the two sidewalls 3. A projection 7 protruding upward and extending in a longitudinal direction is integrally formed in a central part of the bottom wall 4 in a width direction, and a space at an upper side of both end portions of the bottom wall 4 in the width direction is used as an oil reservoir 9 that is held between the projection 7 and the sidewall 3. A partially recessed cylindrical surface 8 positioned on an extension of a lower part of an inner peripheral surface of the winding parts 6 and having a curvature radius equal to a radius of the winding parts 6 is formed in an apex of the projection 7, and the rocker shaft 21 is supported at three points of the two winding parts 6 and the partially recessed cylindrical surface 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
