Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the liquid oil collected in an oil separating space from penetrating into an oil mist separating space in the generation of a large quantity of blowby gas by arranging and forming the oil mist separating space above the oil separating space.
SOLUTION: Since the blowby gas carried into an oil separating space R1 through a gas inlet port 4 is reduced in flow velocity within the oil separating chamber R1, the oil in the blowby gas satisfactorily falls onto a plate 3 by the deadweight. The oil mist contained in the blowby gas is collided to a bypass plate 6 provided within an oil mist separating space R2 and adsorptively separated. The oil mist separating space R2 is arranged and formed above the oil separating space R1. Therefore, even if the oil is collected in the oil separating space R1 under an operating condition with generation of a large quantity of blowby gas, the oil never penetrates into the upper oil mist separating space R2.
