PURPOSE: To easily secure lubrication even when oil films on ball sections and bearing sections are broken and obtain a rocking compressor with improved abrasion resistance by providing lubricating members on the interfaces between the ball sections and the bearing sections.

CONSTITUTION: Ball sections 45 are formed on both ends of an actuating rod 41 and rotatably received by bearing sections 47 formed on a rocking plate 35 and a piston 43 to constitute a ball joint. Lubricating members are provided on the interfaces between the ball sections 45 and bearing sections 47, the lubricating members are practically fixed on the outer surfaces of the ball sections 45, and self-lubricating resin such as fluororesin or a solid lubricant such as MoS2 and graphite is used for the lubricating member. The rotary movement of a rotor 37 is converted into the rocking movement of the rocking plate 35, the piston 43 in a cylinder 15 is reciprocated, when oil films on the interfaces between the ball sections 45 and bearing sections 47 are broken for some causes, the lubrication between the ball sections 45 and bearing sections 47 can be secured by the lubricating members.
