Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod lens array configured to offer improved mechanical properties while minimizing degradation of optical performance, and to provide a non-zoom imaging optical system using the same.SOLUTION: A rod lens array comprises two substrates, a plurality of rod lenses arrayed between the substrates, and surface protection layers arranged to cover at least end faces of the rod lenses, and is characterized in that: the surface protection layers have a thickness of greater than 2 μm and less than 13 μm; a difference ΔTC in TC between a main scanning direction and a sub scanning direction is less than 0.4 mm; and the end faces have a pencil hardness of 3H or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
