Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a rod-less cylinder thin while keeping high stiffness thereof.
SOLUTION: A bore portion 20 having a generally rhombus cross section is formed in a cylinder tube 12 composing a rod-less cylinder 10. The rhombus shape of the bore portion 20 cross section is formed to have thickness smaller than width. At the part near the lower sides of both sides portions of the bore portion 20 in the cylinder tube 12, a fluid bypass passages 24a, 24b for centralized piping are formed. Further, thickness-reducing parts 32a, 32b and 34a, 34b are formed near both side portions of the bore portion 20 in an upper surface and a lower surface of the cylinder tube 12.
