Title:
ROD SHAPE WORKPIECE CUTTING-OFF MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003094237
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a rod shape workpiece cutting-off machine which does not lower work efficiency and has high safety.

In the rod shape workpiece cutting-off machine for cutting-off the rod shape workpiece arranged in the direction perpendicular to the moving direction of a movable blade by inserting the workpieces into a cutting-off work space between a fixed blade and the movable blade, the machine is provided with a first cover member for covering the fixed blade side and a second cover member for covering the movable blade side for the plane moving locus in the case of inserting the rod shape workpieces into the cutting-off work space. The first cover member and the second cover member are energized to move toward a closed position where both covers are approached to each other by an energizing member. When the rod shape workpieces move up to the cutting-off work space along the movement locus P, the first cover member and the second cover member move to a separated position against the energizing force of the energizing member. When the rod shape workpieces have been inserted into the cutting-off work space, the first cover member and the second cover member move to the closed position by the energizing force of the energizing member.
