Abstract:

To increase efficiency of work; and to simplify a processing apparatus, when forming trim lines in a pipe.

This roll cutter has a die 12 having a cross-sectional shape corresponding to a cross-sectional shape of the pipe 10, and a cutting edge 18 rotating while displacing the rotational center by following the cross-sectional shape of the die 12. The various trim lines are formed in the pipe 10 by the shearing action of mutual three-dimensional-shaped blades 16 and 20 respectively equipped in the die 12 and the cutting edge 18. Among mutually orthogonal biaxial directional displacement quantities determined when displacing an rotation shaft of the cutting edge 18 as an arrow A, a uniaxial directional displacement quantity is controlled by eccentric motion of the rotation shaft of the cutting edge 18, to thereby eliminate the necessity of controlling both the orthogonal biaxial directional displacement quantities by reciprocating linear motion, and when forming the trim lines in the pipe 10, efficiency of the work is increased, and the processing apparatus can be simplified.
