Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll device incorporated with a motor for rolling whose space efficiency is high, maintenance is easy and which is excellent in responsiveness.
SOLUTION: This roll device is provided with a stator which is fixed in the shaft parts at both ends of a fixed stator core 2 having a hollow hole to pedestals 1 and provided by winding with the armature winding 3 consists of a superconductive wire on the stator core 2 and a roll comprising a rotor which is provided so as to surround the outside around this stator, also whose both end parts are freely rotatably supported through magnetic bearings 9 on the side of the stator and a permanent magnet 8 for generating a field having plural poles is provided on the faces corresponding to the stator core 2. By arranging refrigerant piping 4 for circulating the refrigerant in the state where the piping is in contact with the peripheral surface of the hollow hole, the armature winding 3 is cooled by an indirect cooling system.
