PURPOSE: To form with bend a work and to increase the production efficiency by providing in opposition the recessed part and projecting part on one part of the roll peripheral face with which the work of a pair of rolls arranged with approaching each other come into contact.
CONSTITUTION: A recessed part 12 is formed on one part of the peripheral face with which the work W of one part of roll 11 comes into contact and projecting part 14 is formed as well on other part of the roll 13. The recessed part 12 and projecting part 14 of both rolls 11, 13 are respectively fitted to main shafts 15, 16 so as to oppose each other at the prescribed position. When, therefore, the work W reaches the forming part of the recessed part 12 and projecting part 14, the work W is forcibly bent with being pressed by the projecting part 14 and abutted to the corner parts 12a, 12b of the recessed part 12. In this case, the axial line X of the work W becomes nearly a straight into due to the respective radius bcoming nearly the same on the roll peripheral face excepting that of the forming part but the axial line X is bent on the forming part.
