To provide a roll dryer which needs to control liquid physical properties and an amount of liquid on an anilox roll in order to form an appropriate pattern on a base to be printed, when supplying a liquid to the letterpress printing plate using the anilox roll, with regard to letterpress printing process for transferring the liquid to the base to be printed from the letterpress printing plate, and however, which poses such problems that a burden is very large in a conventional printing method because the anilox roll has to be changed by trying to find its ideal use in one way or the other, and besides, a drying process takes time, hence high production cost, so that a coating liquid on the anilox roll needs to be dried efficiently and uniformly.
This roll dryer includes an absorption member for removing a solvent atmosphere and an auxiliary plate for leading a solvent to the absorption member efficiently, regarding a coating liquid film applied to the outer circumferential surface of the letterpress printing device. In addition, the roll dryer is characteristic in that the coating liquid can be dried while the roll is rotated.
