PURPOSE: To perform nipping and release of the plate material interposed between a pair of rolls easily and certainly by revolving the revolution body having the inner surface in the concentric relation to a subroll and the outer surface in the eccentric relation.

CONSTITUTION: A roll feeding apparatus is equipped with an intermittent driving apparatus 2 having output shaft 1 which is revolved intermittently, main roll 3 inserted integrally onto the output shaft 1, and sub-roll 4 arranged in parallel to the axis line, and a roll transferring apparatus 5 which nipps and releases plate material by positioning the sub-roll 4 apart from or close to the main roll 3. The roll transferring apparatus 5 described above has the inner surface 6' in partial cylindrical form, and is constituted of a fixed bracket 6 which encircles the sub-roll 4, revolution body 7 which is arranged between the bracket 6 and the sub-roll 4 and has the inner and outer surfaces in eccentric relation, and a revolution operation handle 10 which is connected with one side of the revolution body 7 through a fixed plate 9.
