To improve a roll finishing machine to facilitate drying of an object to be treated and to significantly improve the processing capacity.
A heat-insulated belt 12 is wound around a heating roll 11, which is rotated in a direction indicated by an arrow L. A vacuum box 13 is disposed facing the heating roll 11 with distance in-between. The face of the vacuum box facing the heating roll 11 is composed of a porous plate 13a. When air is discharged from the vacuum box 13 by a blower 15 to reduce the pressure, atmospheric air flows in a direction indicated by an arrow in contact with the object 8 to be treated, and the steam partial pressure near the surface of the object 8 to be treated is reduced. As the steam partial pressure is reduced, evaporation is facilitated and the object 8 to be treated can be quickly dried.
