PURPOSE: To make roll surfaces polishable by a single set of polishing mechanism for a plurality of rolls in a frame by providing the polishing mechanism, which is brought into contact with the roll surface to polish it, possibly to approach and separate from the roll surface further turnably in a plurality of roll center directions.

CONSTITUTION: A lift bed 14 is lifted along a lift guide 13 by an air cylinder 15 in a lift mechanism 12 of a roll polishing device 10 so that a fabric 38 in a roll polishing mechanism 34 is placed in predetermined height almost equal to a center shaft of the third roll 4. Thereafter, by extending a rod 18a of an air cylinder 18 in a turn mechanism 16, a turn bed 17 is turned with a supporting pin 17a serving as the center so that an approach-separating direction of an approach-separating mechanism 19 is faced to the shaft center of the second roll 3. Next, the rod 22a of the air cylinder in the approach-separating mechanism 19 is extended to advance a moving bed 21, thereafter the handle 33 of a fine adjusting mechanism 30 is rotated to make fine adjustment of the position of a polishing bed 35, and an approach-separating direction position for the rolls is finely adjusted so that the fabric 38 is brought into contact with the second roll 3.
