PURPOSE: To quickly carry out the rearrangement of rolls under the presence of the rolled material, by installing the rail for travelably supporting respective work roll and intermediate roll, and by constituting so as to permit the metal chop of above roll to be specifically connected to or disconnected from the rail.

CONSTITUTION: In the roll rearranger of the rolling mill provided with the work rolls 14, 16, the intermediate rolls 10, 12, and the backup rolls 6, 8, the traveling rails 19, 20, 21, 22, are independently installed for respective intermeidate rolls 10, 12, and work rolls 14, 16, and besides, the rail 19 for the upper intermediate roll 10 and the rail 12 for the upper work roll 14 located below the roll 10 are connected; at rearranging the rolls, the roll 10 and the roll 14 are integrally pulled up above the rolling pass line, the rolls 12, 16, are pulled downward, or each of metal chops 15, 17, 11, or work rolls 14, 16, and intermeidate roll 10 is freely connectable to each other by the spacers 31W35 as the connecting members; by this constitution, the rolls 12, 14, independently or together with the intermeidate roll 10 can be quickly, easily rearranged under the presence of the rolled material 1.
