PURPOSE: To simplify the front floor of a rolling mill, by providing a lift in order to align a rearranging rail arranged in the mill with a delivery rail arranged in the front of the mill.
CONSTITUTION: In rearranging work rolls, for instance, a press-down screw 11 is slightly raised to shift a spacer block 10 out of a housing 1 by a cylinder 13. A back up roll 5 is then raised by an amount corresponding to the thickness of the block 10 by a cylinder 17, and further, a lifting rail 7 is raised by a cylinder 9 through a hanging rod 8 until a work roll rearranging rail 15 aligns with a floor rail. At this time, as the rail 15 is raised above the upper part of a spacer 16 equipped with wheels of a chock for a lower intermediate roll 4, the chock is supported by the spacer 16, and a gap between a lower work roll 2 and the roll 4 is produced. A gap between both upper and lower work rolls is produced by an autospacer 14. Next, a gap between the roll 2 and an upper intermediate roll 3 is produced by raising the roll 3 with the aid of a cylinder 18. In this state, the work roll is drawn out onto the floor by a transfer car.
