To provide a roll-shaped photosensitive material package, where productivity and economy are excellent, shielding and protection properties with respect to a roll-shaped photosensitive material are high, properties for withdrawing from a magazine to a leader is reliable in use, and quality is stable in the roll-shaped photosensitive material package for darkroom loading.

In the roll-shaped photosensitive material package comprising a leader for shielding the periphery of a roll-shaped sensitive material wound around a core and a flange for shielding the side, the leader is set wider than the width of the roll-shaped sensitive material; the coefficient of static friction of the surface ranges from 0.4 to 0.9, based on JIS K7125; and the taper value (stiffness) in the flange is set to 1,200 (mN x m) or larger, based on JIS P 8125.
