PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll which can sufficiently suppress generation of wrinkles of a web, can reduce labor for cleaning, can prevent damages on the web, can suppress wear of an uppermost layer, and can prevent web slip.SOLUTION: A roll 10 includes a plated layer 16 on an uppermost layer. A smooth spiral band 24 formed of a smooth surface spirally extending from a center 20 of a rotation axis 18 direction of the roll 10 to an end part, and an uneven spiral band 26, which is adjacent to the smooth spiral band 24 and is formed of an uneven surface spirally extending from the center 20 of the rotation axis 18 direction of the roll 10 to the end part, are formed on a surface of the plated layer 16. A winding direction of spirals of the smooth spiral band 24 and the uneven spiral band 26 from the center 20 of the rotation axis 18 direction of the roll 10 to the end part is the same as a rotation direction of the roll 10 when viewed from the rotation axis 18 direction of the roll 10. An average depth of the uneven surface of the uneven spiral band 26 is 10 μm or less with the smooth surface of the smooth spiral band 24 as a reference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
