Abstract:
PURPOSE: To quickly and surely adjust a roll width by giving hydraulic pressure to a liquid room and fixing sleeve rolls to a roll shaft by the wedge effect of a mobile sleeve through a supporting sleeve.
CONSTITUTION: When the position of sleeve rolls 47 are adjusted, hydraulic pressure is given to the liquid room 46, the wedge effect of a mobile sleeve 42 is released and a position adjusting screw 53 is turned to move screw blocks 55a, 55b. Consequently, since the sleeve rolls 47 can approach to and separate from each other automatically, the positions of the sleeve rolls 47 can be adjusted quickly and surely and the productivity of wide flange shape steel can be improved.
