Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolled deformed steel with a modified cross section capable of being kept in engagement during free-welding and improved in positioning property during welding. SOLUTION: A rolled deformed steel 1 has a projection 5 formed on the outer surface of one flange 3 of a Z-type steel having flanges 3, 4 extending in mutual opposite directions at both ends of the central side thereof. When the rolled deformed steel 1 is used as a grating frame material, the projection 5 on the flange 3 is utilized as an antislipper. The flange 4 supports a bearing bar 6 and positions the bearing bars when welded to the rolled deformed steel 1. The flange 4 on which no projection is provided can be slantly extended to the midway. A deformation can be provided in a connection between the other flange 4 and the central side 2.
