Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling flat die capable of accurately rolling a spline in a workpiece.SOLUTION: A first processing tooth 20 can shorten a width dimension of a crest-removing surface 21 of the first processing tooth 20 positioned on the starting end side of a biting part 2 due to having a chamfer surface 22 formed by chamfering a connection part C of a flank surface 23 and the crest-removing surface 21. Thus, the first processing tooth 20 can be made to easily bite in a workpiece in an initial stage of rolling in the biting part 2. Since the chamfer surface 22 is also formed in a mode of approaching a flank angle of the flank surface 32 of a second processing tooth 30 over the first processing tool 20 positioned on the starting end side from the starting end side of the biting part 2, the first processing tooth 20 is gradually formed so as to approach a shape of the second processing tooth 30 of a finishing part 3 for approaching the finishing part 3. Thus, since the workpiece can be gradually plastically deformed when rolling in the biting part 2, a spline can be accurately rolled in the workpiece.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
