Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolled screw to prevent the occurrence of frictional resistance during access of a blank part and to effect smooth screw-in operation, in a rolled screw wherein a shaft part is provided at one with a head part and at the other with a tip, and with the blank part left unprocessed on the head part side of the shaft part, a tapping screw is formed on the tip side through rolling.
SOLUTION: By rolling a groove part 7 deeper than the bottom part 6b of a tapping screw part 6 in a manner that the screw crossed a tapping screw part 6 part, the root diameter D2 of the tapping screw part 6 is equal or higher than the diameter D1 of a blank part 5. This constitution causes a screw thread 6a of the tapping screw part 6, screwed in prior to wood, to cut through a periphery as a hole having diameter equal to a bottom diameter D2 is drilled. Thus, a subsequent blank part 5 may make access to a hole equal to or larger than that of the blank part 5, whereby during access of the blank part 5, frictional resistance does not occur, smooth screw-in operation is effected, and reliable fastening is executed.
