To provide a roller bearing suitable for use in the plunger driving mechanism of a fuel pump by enabling it to have the same number of rollers as in the case of a full type while adopting a non-fall type by using a cage to solve various problems of sliding bearing and the other roller bearings.

This roller bearing comprises an outer ring 1, rollers 2 in contact with the rolling surface 1a of the outer ring 1, and a ring-like cage 3. The cage 3 comprises pockets 4 arranged in the circumferential direction. The rollers 2 are held, from the inner diameter side, by column parts 5 between the pockets 4 of the cage 3 between the rollers 2. The outer diameter d3o of the column part 5 is smaller than the pitch circle diameter PCD of the arrangement of rollers. The roller bearing 10 for fuel pump is so formed that the rollers come into rolling contact with the outer peripheral surface of a shaft installed at the end of the plunger and come into rolling contact with the outer ring 1 on the peripheral surface of a rotating cam.
