Abstract:
To provide a roller bearing suppressing dimension change of a retainer under high speed operation, and a machine tool equipped with the roller bearing.
The roller bearing 3 includes an outer ring 31, an inner ring 32, and a retainer 24. The retainer 24 includes a retainer base body 24K comprising magnesium alloy and formed by injection molding, and fiber 4 restraining an outer diameter part 24B of the retainer base body 24K. A penetrating groove 6 for guiding lubricating oil to parts between the outer ring 31, the inner ring 32 and the retainer 24 is provided on at least one of the outer ring 31, the inner ring 32, and the retainer base body 24K.
