Abstract:
To prevent local abrasion and surface damage in a contact area of a crowning part in a roller bearing wherein a rolling surface of a roller is formed by a straight part and the crowning part.
A surface roughness Ra of the crowning part 4b of the cylindrical roller 4 is made to be smooth, 0.06μm or less, and thereby the local abrasion or the surface damage in the contact area can be prevented even when the slip occurs in the rolling contact area between the crowning part 4b and raceway surfaces 2a and 3a of inner and outer rings 2 and 3.
