Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing, for which a general-purpose austenitic stainless steel can be used, and which is given a necessary hardness without any tensile stress while keeping an anticorrosion characteristic owned by austenitic stainless steel.SOLUTION: Provided is a roller bearing in which at least one of bearing rings is prepared by a cold rolling molding, in which austenitic stainless steel is so prepared at 25% or more by the following processing rate as to have a surface residual stress of -36 MPa or less after the cold rolling molding. Processing Rate=(Sectional Area Abefore Cold Rolling Molding - Sectional Area A after Cold Rolling Molding)/(Sectional Area Abefore Cold Rolling Molding)×100 (%).
