To provide a roller chain which reduces noise generated by a lubricant at engagement with a sprocket and by the lubricant at the release of the engagement.
A roller chain 110 comprises: a pair of right and left inner link plates 111; a bush 112 whose bush ends are pressure-inserted in to bush holes of the inner link plates; a pair of right and left outer link plates 114 arranged at both outer sides of the pair of right and left inner link plates, respectively; connecting pins 113 for pressure-inserting pin ends into pin holes of the outer link plates while rotatably being inserted and fit to the bush; and rollers 115 which are arranged between the pair of right and left inner link plates, respectively, and loosely fit to the external periphery of the bush so as to be turnable. The chain makes the rollers engaged with a sprocket (120) by alternately and numerously connecting the inner link plates and the outer link plates by using the bushes and the connecting pins. Also in the roller chain 110, the rollers 115 are formed into spherical faces having the same curvature radii at respective parts of roller external peripheral faces 115a.
