Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller compactor with which detailed adjustment of seal members is unnecessary and also checking the wear state of the seal members and exchange of the members are less frequent so that maintenance work thereof is easy.SOLUTION: In the roller compactor 1, a powder raw material is supplied to a raw material compaction area 13 by a screw feeder 3, and the powder raw material is compaction-granulated between raw material compression rollers 4a, 4b. A seal box 41 to which side seal mounting plates 47a, 47b and side seals 49a, 49b are mounted is disposed on the screw feeder 3 side of the rollers 4a, 4b. The side seal mounting plates 47a, 47b are disposed facing each other with a space provided therebetween on end surfaces 59 of the rollers 4a, 4b, and fixed to the seal box 41 via bolts 48. The side seals 49a, 49b are fixed to the side seal mounting plates 47a, 47b via bolts 50 and disposed between the roller end surfaces 59 and the side seal mounting plates 47a, 47b to seal both end surfaces of the rollers 4a, 4b in the raw material compaction area 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
