The apparatus includes: rollers 5 arranged in a plurality of rows and conveying the object to be conveyed; a plurality of connection belts 6 attached across the adjacent rollers 5 in an arrangement direction D of the rollers 5 at the center of the rollers 5; a driving part for rotating the rollers 5; a position change device for changing positions of the rollers 5 in the arrangement direction D; and a fixing and releasing device for fixing or releasing the rollers 5 changed to positions where the tension of the connection belts 6 is adjusted in the arrangement direction D by the position change device.
