To automatically and stably maintain the attitude of a bulk material at the time of changing the traveling direction by rotating a roller pivotally supported by a carrier with a contact with a roller guide rail, and utilizing this rotation so as to rotate a chuck and the bulk material.

A bulk material 4 is held for carrying by a chuck 3 supported by a carrier 1 to be raised, moved in a curve and moved in the horizontal direction along a guide rail 2 through an arm 11. The carrier 1 supports a roller 5 through a rotary shaft 8 formed with a gear 6 in the peripheral surface thereof. When the carrier 1 is raised along the guide rail 2 and enters a curved path, with the movement of the carrier 1, the roller 5 is rotated by itself by a contact with a roller guide 9. A gear 7 engaged with the gear 6 is rotated for deceleration by the rotation of the roller 5, and a rotary shaft 10 of the chuck 3 is rotated so as to appropriately maintain the attitude of the bulk material 4.
