Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller guide for a compact mill which prevents the occurrence of guide clogging or the like accompanied by falling of steel material to be rolled and biting defection, improves quality of the steel material to be rolled and simplifies the constitution.SOLUTION: A pair of pressure pins 71A, 71B and a pair of disc springs 72A, 72B which constitute a falling prevention mechanism 7 of steel material to be rolled are assembled onto a position corresponding to a rear part of respective roller holders 3A, 3B having a spring constant in the range of 25 to 300 kN/mm as the rear part side of a guide box 1 and, thereby, a cohesive force of the steel material to be rolled equal to a roller guide for general purpose mills used when a distance between conventional stands is long is retained by combination of flexure of the respective disc springs 72A, 72B and flexure of the respective roller holders 3A, 3B when the steel material passes through the guide roller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
