PURPOSE: To sufficiently loosen a lesion by massaging, by staying a roller for pressing reciprocately driven with a motor on contact surfaces of the back and hip with a chair while moving in or out in the direction almost at the right angle to the contact surfaces during running or at an arbitrary stop position.

CONSTITUTION: Running gears 3 supported on both sides of a box body 2 are meshed with rail-shaped racks 4 to reciprocated the box body by the rotation of the running gears 3 in an alternate direction and it is stopped at an arbitrary position by the stoppage of the running gears 3. A roller 7 is freely rotatably supported on an arm 6 protruding on both sides of a column 5 supported at the center of the top surface of the box body 2 and made to move in or out in the direction almost at the right angle by a vertical and one-way rotary motion of the column 5 to perform a circular motion in one direction. A massaging apparatus body 1 thus arranged is rolled in one way to hit contact surfaces of the back and the hip so that it reciprocates to rub to loosen a lesion by moving in or out thereof almost at the right angle, thereby completely loosening a desired lesion by massaging.
