PURPOSE: To provide a mill, a method of controlling the feed quantity of a raw material for the same and a device therefor in which the mill is operated with the residual quantity of the raw material in the mill while normally maintaining it near the limits of treating capacity of equipment even when fine powder of fine pulverizing grading is formed.
CONSTITUTION: The thickness (t) of a bed 22 of a raw material to be pulverized formed between a roller 8 and a race recessed part 2 of a pulverizing table 4 is detected by a bed detecting means 2 at the time of pulverizing the raw material. When the bed thickness (t) exceeds a previously set allowable maximum value, the quantity of the raw material to be fed to the pulverizing table 4 by a raw material feeding means 9 is decreased, and when the bed thickness (t) becomes smaller than the previously set allowable minimum value, the quantity of the raw material to be fed is increased, so that the bed thickness (t) is kept within a fixed limit.
