Abstract:
To provide rollers for forming characteristics at an end of a pipe element.SOLUTION: A roller set for rolling and forming a pipe element includes an outside roller engaged with a pipe element at three points so that swinging of the pipe element is prevented. An inside roller and the outside roller cooperate to form a pipe element having protrusions that are engageable using keys of mechanical couplers. The protrusions extend beyond an outer surface of the pipe element, and increase pressure and flexibility of combinations of the pipe element and the couplers. In one exemplary embodiment, a second elevated characteristic comprises a ring surrounding an outside roller body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
