Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable to obtain a high speed shift ratio, by a method wherein a part of a stepped planetary roller is made to touch an input side sun roller and a fixed side elastic ring, and the other part of the foregoing planetary roller is made to touch an output side elastic ring roller. CONSTITUTION:A speed shift ratio T1 between a sun roller 1 and a stepped planetary roller 2 at their center is given by an expression T1=2(R1+R2)/R2. A speed shift ratio T2 between the planetary roller 2 and an elastic ring roller 5 is given by an expression T2=R2(R1+R2+R3)/(R1+R2)(R2-R3). Thus, a speed shift ratio T between a high speed rotary shaft 6 and a low speed rotary shaft 9 is given by an expression T=T1XT2=2R2(R1+R2+R3)/R1(R2-R3). A speed shift ratio, therefore, can be set logically at any large one by making an absolute value of¦R2-R3¦ smaller.
