Abstract:
To provide a roller unit performing suitable soil removing operation.
The roller unit 3 is equipped with a roller body 5 rotating about the horizontal central axial line X of rotation as the center. The outer peripheral surface part 7 of the roller body 5 is provided with a plurality of rubber-like elastic protrusions 10 removing sticking soil from the surface of each potato A while rotating the potato A in the direction opposite to the rotational direction of the roller body 5. Recessed parts 20 for causing a change in rotation of the potato A are arranged in positions on the outer peripheral side of the roller body 5.
