PURPOSE: To provide a rolling bearing for refrigerating compressor using a hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant as a working refrigerant for refrigerating device and a refrigerating machine oil of polyalkylene glycol or ester wherein a fatigue life of the bearing is equal to or longer than that in the case of using a conventional CFC12/mineral-oil.
CONSTITUTION: In a compressor for refrigerator using a hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant and a refrigerator lubricating oil of polyalkylene glycol or ester, a retainer 43 for retaining rolling elements 42 of a rolling bearing of the compressor for refrigerator is made of a thermosetting plastic. As a result, occurrence of a micro-crack in rollers and reduction of fatigue strength of the rollers due to hydrogen embrittlement and the like are inhibited to improve a life of the bearing.
