To provide a rolling bearing device having improved performance for preventing the removal of an axial load applying ring from a ring mounting groove, and to provide a rolling device for a continuous casting machine.
In the link mounting groove 64 of a roll 21, the approximately annular ring 40 is arranged consisting of first and second circular arc members 80, 81. In a retaining ring mounting groove 70 of the ring 40, a C-shaped retaining ring 42 is mounted having first and second end faces 90, 91 opposing each other at a peripheral space and a protruded portion 87 protruded inward in the radial direction. The ring 40 has a recessed portion 94 ranging to the retaining ring mounting groove 70. With the protruded portion 87 of the C-shaped retaining ring 42 engaging with the recessed portion 94 of the ring, the C-shaped retaining ring 42 is mounted in the retaining ring mounting groove 70. In the state that the C-shaped retaining ring 42 is mounted in the retaining ring mounting groove 70, the first and second end faces 90, 91 are laid on the second circular arc member 81 in the same radial direction.
