To provide a rolling bearing device capable of preventing axial backlash in a rolling bearing.
In this rolling bearing device, a first retaining ring 21 is fitted straddling a first peripheral groove 12 formed on a peripheral face 6B of an inner ring 6 and a third peripheral groove 16 formed on a fitting peripheral face 15 of a rotary shaft 1. A second retaining ring 22 is fitted straddling a second peripheral groove 13 formed on the peripheral face 6B of the inner ring 6 and a fourth peripheral groove 17 formed on the fitting peripheral face 15 of the rotary shaft 1. The first retaining ring 21 is sandwiched from both sides in the axial direction in a pressure-contacted state by a side face 12A on one side in the axial direction of the first peripheral groove 12 and a side face 16B on the other side in the axial direction of the third peripheral groove 16. The second retaining ring 22 is sandwiched in a pressure-contacted state from both sides in the axial direction by a side face 13B on the other side in the axial direction of the second peripheral groove 13 and a side face 17A on one side in the axial direction of the fourth peripheral groove 17.
