The rolling bearing device includes an outer ring in a fixed side, an inner ring fixed to a rotary shaft, a plurality of rolling elements present between an inner ring raceway and an outer ring raceway, and a cage holding the rolling elements. The rolling bearing device further includes a lubricating oil retaining member 7 which includes a woven fabric 20 and a resin layer 21 covering the woven cloth 20 and is formed by impregnating the woven fabric 20 with lubricating oil. The lubricating oil retaining member 7 is fixed to the rotary shaft while being opposed to the end face of the inner ring.
