Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing device in which lives of a housing and a rolling bearing can be prolonged, and creep of an outer ring can be prevented without requiring difficult working of the housing, and which is therefore easily maintained.SOLUTION: The rolling bearing device is provided that comprises: a rolling bearing comprising a housing with a cylindrical hole, an outer ring fit into the cylindrical hole, an inner ring disposed coaxially with the outer ring and rotatably relative to the outer ring, and rolling elements rollably arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring; and a whirl stop mechanism for stopping a whirl of the outer ring with respect to the housing. The whirl stop mechanism comprises: an outer ring groove radially recessed to an outer periphery of the outer ring; a through-hole which is formed while opposing the outer ring groove, and penetrates from an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical hole of the housing toward an outer periphery of the housing, and in which a screw groove and an incomplete thread portion adjoining the screw groove are formed at the inside-diameter surface; balls arranged in the through-hole and over the outer ring groove, the incomplete thread portion and the screw groove; and a bolt which is threadedly engaged with the screw groove of the through-hole, and pressurizes the balls from the outside of the bearing in the radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
