Abstract:

To simultaneously attain the prevention of electrolytic corrosion and creep, and enable use as a free side bearing which allows axial movement of an axle box and a shaft end.

An insulative coating 8 made of rubber or a resin covers an outer diameter surface or a widthwise surface of an outer ring 2. The insulative coating 8 is formed independently of the outer ring 2, and then attached to the outer ring 2 with its diameter being widened. Two outer projections 9 are formed on the insulative coating 8. Circular grooves 11 are formed on the outer ring 2 correspondingly to the outer projections 9. Inner projections 10 to be fitted thereto are formed on the insulative coating 8. In attachment to an axle box 15, oil 14 is applied to an outer diameter surface of the insulative coating 8 between the paired outer projections 9.
