Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accurately detect a lubricating trouble actually caused in a rolling bearing in its lubricant feeder.
CONSTITUTION: This rolling bearing lubricant feeder is provided with a capacitance type noncontact sensor 6 whose detecting end is exposed in space between both inner and outer races 1 and 5 of a rolling bearing A, and installed as opposed to the surface of a retainer 4, a lubricant feeding means B feeding a lubricant to a gap between both these inner and outer races of the rolling bearing, and two controlling means 8 and 9 controlling operation of the lubricant feeding means by way of a difference between the detected value and the standard value of capacitance by the capacitance type noncontact sensor to be produced in the case where lubricating trouble has gone wrong as a quantity of lubricant in the rolling bearing in rotation is in short supply or becomes overmuch, respectively.
