Abstract:
To provide a rolling bearing unit with a sensor, which can accurately obtain force values acting on orbit members of a bearing, by using a magnetostrictive sensor.
The rolling bearing unit with the sensor includes a rolling bearing 1 and a sensor device 2. The rolling bearing 1 is composed of an outer ring 5, an inner ring 6, a ball 7 and a holder 8. The outer ring 5 and the inner ring 6 are made of SUJ2, and the ball 7 and the holder 8 are made of a nonmagnetic material. The sensor device 2 has the magnetostrictive sensor which detects changes in the strain of the inner ring 6 as values of magnetostrictive variation caused by the force from the ball 7.
